Born in Fort Worth and raised in Midland, Bo grew up in a family that’s been in the oil business for over 80 years—a heritage that runs as deep as the wells that fuel Texas. His father, an All-American Wildcatter, instilled in him the values of ingenuity, perseverance, and a relentless drive to keep Texas energy strong.
Bo’s roots in the oil patch go beyond family tradition. Since 1994, he’s been a hands-on leader in the industry, spending a decade as an energy trader, navigating the fast-paced world of markets to deliver results for Texas energy. His experience gave him a front-row seat to the complexities of Texas oil and gas, equipping him with the expertise to champion smart, pro-energy policies on the Texas Railroad Commission.
As a rancher and mineral owner, Bo knows the land and the industry from both sides of the fence. He’s dealt firsthand with oil operators working on his ranch, giving him unique insight into the challenges and opportunities of balancing production with property rights. Bo understands the importance of fair, common-sense regulations that protect landowners while ensuring Texas remains the energy powerhouse of America.
Bo’s commitment to energy extends beyond Texas’ borders. As the owner and operator of security businesses in the Middle East, he provided critical protection for some of the world’s largest energy companies in one of the most volatile regions on earth. His leadership in high-stakes environments proves he’s not just a talker—he’s a doer who can tackle tough challenges and deliver results.
As Chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party, the largest red county in the nation, Bo led a historic fundraising effort for the party and spearheaded an unprecedented campaign to deliver Tarrant County for Republicans after it had trended blue in 2020. He has used his platform to fight Islam, DEI, LGBTQ indoctrination, and the Chinese Communist Party, taking a bold stand and delivering wins for conservative values.
He exposed a CCP billionaire who had bought up oil assets and even paid a city councilman to lobby on his behalf in Austin. Less than a year later, that oil company filed for bankruptcy. He has been the foremost leader in Texas, bringing attention to the Islamic invasion of our state, refusing to back down despite threats and attacks from both the Left and the Right. He will bring this same leadership and courage to the Railroad Commission to ensure that the Texas energy industry remains the best in the world.
