Fort Worth, Texas – Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French announced Saturday that he will not seek re-election as the Chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party. He will instead seek election to the Texas Railroad Commission in 2026. French was raised in Midland by his father, who was an All-American Wildcatter, and has invested in the Texas energy sector for 30 years.

During Chairman French’s tenure as Tarrant County GOP Chairman, the Party set all-time fundraising records and achieved a historic turnaround in the 2024 election, reclaiming the county for Donald Trump and even capturing a constable seat from the Democrats. He has fought the radical Left relentlessly, refusing to cave to pressure. From local nonprofits supporting the invasion of Texas to DEI, transgenderism, and Islamic radicalism, Chairman French refuses to back down.

He now turns his fight to the Texas Railroad Commission to defend the State of Texas and its crown jewel, the oil and gas industry. Chairman French issued the following statement:

“Texas oil and gas made America great and literally fueled the fight for freedom across the world. With Iran and radical Islamists attacking our allies in the Middle East, the Chinese Communist Party pushing its agenda worldwide, and the radical Green New Scam artists waging war on domestic energy production, our state needs a strong leader who will fight back. I’m running for Railroad Commissioner to put American citizens, American interests, and American energy first.”

An outspoken America First conservative, Chairman French has been the leading voice calling out DEI and foreign influence in Texas. He has stood strong against leftism and helped to shutter the DEI departments for both the City of Fort Worth and TCU. He called out CCP-owned oil companies operating in Tarrant County and influencing our local government, which have now gone bankrupt. He is the proven conservative in the race who will stand against the left and defend the Texas Miracle.

“The Texas oil and gas industry needs a strong defender who will never back down to leftist pressure,” said French. “As your next Railroad Commissioner, I will fight to end DEI, radical climate change ideology, and foreign capture of our oil and gas industries. I am the battle-tested conservative in this race, and I will always fight to put America First.”
